I know I have a parking problem but I don’t know how to address it.  What steps should I take?*

While methods used to analyze, evaluate, and address parking challenges are known by parking professionals, it may not be as obvious to those outside of the industry. To add to the confusion, there are many parking terms that are used which might not be easily understood to a layperson.

You can begin by contacting a reputable parking consultant or contacting the members of IPI (www.parking.org). IPI will help direct you to to members with expertise having similar background as you, i.e. universities, airports, municipalities, rails, corporations, entertainments, and developers. A list of parking consultants in your area can be obtained from IPI as well.
