Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs) was incorporated on March 28, 1994. Timothy Haahs started the company in his garage after recovering from his first heart transplant. He founded the company based on one simple mission: “We exist to help those in need.” This mission statement is the foundation of TimHaahs’ existence, and the driving force of the company.
Our first opportunity for community outreach was in 1994. That year we hosted and sponsored a benefit concert, Handel’s Messiah, to assist the local soup kitchen. In 1996, the first TimHaahs office outside of Tim’s home was opened on Pennlyn Pike in Blue Bell, PA. In 1999, Tim underwent a second heart transplant surgery, meeting with key employees on Saturdays to manage projects. In 2001, the corporate headquarters moved again to our current location on Township Line Road in Blue Bell. At the same time, TimHaahs opened the Calvary Vision Community Center, encouraging use of the space by charitable organizations.
Tim Haahs is a privately owned S corporation operated by Principals and a Board of Directors. We have also grown significantly in recent years, and we now consist of over 50 employees.
In February of 2005, we opened a second office in Miami, FL, and in September of 2006 a third in Atlanta, GA. Our vision for the future includes opening more offices where there are opportunities for growth. Our operation centers are extremely important to the advancement of TimHaahs, and we are excited about the future centers that will open. However, not only will opening more offices enable us to grow as a company, but more importantly it will allow us more opportunities to serve those communities in where we will operate.
In recent years we have been blessed to receive a number of awards which not only reflect our mission, but also the strides we have been able to achieve as a firm. These awards include the Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative Award, Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award (presented to Timothy Haahs), Top 100 Fastest-Growing Companies in Greater Philadelphia, and 'Best Firms to Work For' from Structural Engineer Magazine, Philadelphia Business Journal, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. |
