Allentown Government Area Parking Structure - Allentown, Pennsylvania The Allentown Parking Authority retained TimHaahs to design a 600 space, eight tier facility, with a provision to convert the ground and second levels to office or retail space. TimHaahs is designing the Allentown Government Area Parking Structure and the Allentown Transportation Center concurrently. ![]() The new parking structure will provide parking for City and County employees and transient parking in center city Allentown. A pedestrian bridge will provide direct access to the Upper City Hall Plaza. The façade of the parking structure was driven by the city’s effort to spur development in downtown Allentown. ![]() The TimHaahs team used a combination of architectural precast and brick, Times Square-like digital displays, perforated metal screening and accent lighting to create an architectural centerpiece. This groundbreaking project will be visible from the Hamilton Street Bridge, the East gateway to the City of Allentown. A combination of video quality full-color displays and monochrome message displays frame the southeast corner of the structure, located at the intersection of 4th Street and Hamilton Street. Linear spot lighting will be used to accent the perforated metal screen façade in a celebration theme. |
