Berks Area Reading Transportation Authority Park-n-Ride Transit Facility - Reading, Pennsylvania

For the Berks Area Reading Transportation Authority (BARTA) TimHaahs designed the 350-space Park-N-Transit facility in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania.



The one-supported level parking structure is constructed of precast concrete, which complements the historic Franklin Street Station located just to the east. In anticipation of the Schuylkill Valley Metrorail, the parking structure is designed to allow for one level of vertical expansion.



Located near the BARTA Transportation Center, the structure fulfills projected parking needs for the transportation facility, the recently constructed Sovereign Center, and other nearby attractions. The facility opened to the public in April 2005.
