Borough of Jenkintown Master Plan - Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

For the Borough of Jenkintown, TimHaahs provided master planning and parking planning services for an area located at the corner of Summit Avenue and York Road near the existing Borough Hall. The goal of the project was to study the feasibility of locating a mixed-use facility with a parking component to promote revitalization in the downtown area.

For the study, TimHaahs assessed a number of options for the site, including whether to leave the proposed new Borough Hall at the existing site, or move it to another location. In addition, the study also evaluated a number of opportunities for enhancing the streetscape to establish a more intimate and walkable environment, creating a “gateway” landmark, and the adding more green space throughout the area.
