Bridgewater Commons Parking Garage Restoration - Bridgewater, New Jersey

For General Growth Properties, Inc. (formerly the Rouse Company), TimHaahs performed a condition appraisal of the three level, precast parking facility located at the Bridgewater Commons Mall in New Jersey. The 1350-space facility was in desperate need of repairs due to the poor quality of the existing cast-in-place topping.

TimHaahs subsequently provided fast track, full restoration engineering services from contract documents to construction administration and field representation. The restoration work was divided into two phases. Phase I repairs were prioritized to concentrate on the most severe deterioration and prior to the holiday season. Phase I was completed on time and below original estimated budget.

The restoration work consisted of replacement of the entire cast-in-place topping and expansion joint system, plus some full-depth removal, routing and sealing of cracks, and addition of supplemental drains.
