Bristol-Myers Squibb Parking Structure - Hopewell, New Jersey TimHaahs served Bristol-Myers Squibb as the prime designer for an employee parking structure at their Hopewell, New Jersey campus. This five-story, precast parking structure provides 1622 spaces for employees. The main stair/elevator tower is designed to accommodate a pedestrian bridge at the fourth level to connect to the adjacent office building currently under design. There will also be an additional stairtower and one punch-thru stair. ![]() An important consideration was that the structure be designed to be neighbor-friendly. To accomplish this, the architectural facade is comprised of brick in-fill precast panels and glass. A precast flat roof was added over the entire footprint, which gives the facility an office building look while also preventing glare of the metal halide lighting. ![]() Security and safety are always prime considerations. To allow users to feel more comfortable, the floor-to-floor height was increased to 12’-6” on the ground floor through the second floor; the remaining floors are the typical height of 11”-0”. The stair towers incorporate glass, making the facility more architecturally appealing and increases the feeling of openness and safety. |
