Clara Maass Hospital Parking Garage - Belleville, New Jersey TimHaahs designed this multi-level, mixed-use, precast garage for the Clara Maass Hospital, part of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System. The garage was constructed on an existing surface lot that had once supported a previous garage.  With a total of 214,575 square feet and 733 spaces, the garage alleviates parking shortages and provides a supply for future demand. About ten percent of the 733 spaces are allotted for physicians and staff by way of card readers, while the remaining spaces are earmarked for patients and visitors by way of Pay-On-Foot Machines. The garage is a two-bay, single-threaded helix that allows for two-way traffic, and has one ground tier and three supported tiers. An additional tier may be constructed in the future. There are two elevator towers and one pedestrian bridge from the second tier, which is situated by the main hospital, Extended Care Building and medical offices.
