East Liberty District-Wide Parking Study - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania For the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), in cooperation with East Liberty Development, Inc. (ELDI) and the Pittsburgh Parking Authority (PPA), TimHaahs performed a district-wide parking study of the neighborhood of East Liberty in Pittsburgh, PA. East Liberty is in the midst of a large-scale revitalization process already evident by the boom in retail, restaurant, and housing development. The success of numerous retailers in the area have helped to encourage other development initiatives, including over 300,000 sf of retail, 250,000 sf of office space, 50,000 sf of restaurant space, three new hotels, and over 300 new housing units. This major development initiative will displace and eliminate much of the surface parking in the area, creating the need to provide clean, safe, and cost-effective parking near these locations. TimHaahs worked with the URA to perform a parking study for the development, including an assessment of the current and future parking supply, identification and analysis of potential sites for additional parking, and an assessment of the potential costs of the proposed structures. |
