Embassy Suites Parking Study - Savannah, Georgia The Bennett Hofford Company in Charleston, South Carolina selected TimHaahs to provide a parking study for a proposed parking structure at the future Embassy Suites in Savannah. The proposed mixed-use parking structure would also include 12,000 square feet of retail space. The purpose of the study was to “right size” the garage with consideration for hotel needs, as well as displaced parking. TimHaahs also provided a preliminary financial analysis to determine if additional parking spaces should be considered for visitor use. TimHaahs recommended that the proposed parking structure contain a minimum of 320 spaces. TimHaahs also suggested the inclusion of provisions for future vertical expansion of two levels. TimHaahs analyzed the financial impact of adding additional spaces for visitors and non-hotel users. Based on market rates, TimHaahs determined that it would not be financially feasible to build additional parking for these users at this time. However, TimHaahs suggested that the proposed garage still be designed for future expansion to accommodate future demand.
