Firmenich Parking Garage Solar Electric Array Installation - Plainsboro, New Jersey For Firmenich, Inc., TimHaahs performed a feasibility study for the installation of a solar panel array on the top level of the Firmenich parking garage in Plainsboro, NJ. TimHaahs originally served as the consulting engineer for the Firmenich parking facility.  TimHaahs assessed the potential impact of additional loads superimposed on the structure. In addition, TimHaahs performed an analysis of the existing foundation and structural framing of the facility to determine its ability to support the solar panel array addition. The study assessed both vertical loads from the solar panel structures, as well as the lateral loads from wind and seismic considerations. The joint collaboration of Geopeak Energy (turnkey provider), T&M Associates, Inc., Sunpower Corporation and Delta Structures, Inc. made this 1 Megawatt photovoltaic system possible.
