Fresh Market Mixed-Use Facility Design - Miami Beach, Florida TimHaahs joined the API (+) and SIKON Construction Corporation team to design this new project for the Fresh Market. The two–tier parking facility will house 127 parking spaces and feature a 12,500 sq. ft. Fresh Market grocery on the ground floor. TimHaahs provided garage design and integration with mixed-use elements, structural engineering, and parking consulting services. Constructed of cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete, the facility incorporates a main entrance and two stair towers with cantilever slabs for metal canopies. The design team located the main entrance on the southwest side of the building for pedestrian access. In addition, the south and west sides feature enlarged tapered columns with aluminum louver sunscreens lining the entire façade. The design team provided an elevated eating area on the south side of the building for Miami Beach residents and visitors to enjoy. The Miami Beach Fresh Market is scheduled to open its doors end of 2010.  *Rendering courtesy of API (+) |
