Lake City Feasibility Study - Lake City, Florida The City of Lake City, Florida, along with a local developer, retained TimHaahs to study the feasibility of placing a 300 space parking structure adjacent to their newly remodeled Courthouse. ![]() TimHaahs determined that an existing parking lot was the best site for the parking structure. The parking structure will include ground floor retail space, which will face Lake DeSoto, as well as office space above the parking floors. The mixed-use project will provide much needed parking for a very busy area of downtown Lake City. TimHaahs is also assisting the City in structuring a public/private partnership for this project. TimHaahs will help the City study the benefits of using mechanisms such as a Tax Allocation District or Tax Increment Financing for funding the parking structure. In addition, TimHaahs is studying the benefits of a parking district so that all of the parking-related fees in a defined area may be applied to the parking structure’s debt service.” |
