Lake City Feasibility Study - Lake City, Florida For the City of Lake City, Florida and a local developer, TimHaahs examined the feasibility of placing a 300-space parking structure adjacent to the newly remodeled Lake City Courthouse. TimHaahs determined that an existing surface lot was the best site for the parking structure. The parking structure will include ground floor retail space, which will face Lake DeSoto, as well as office space above the parking floors. The mixed-use project will provide much needed parking for a very busy area of downtown Lake City. TimHaahs is also assisting the City in structuring a public/private partnership for this project. TimHaahs will help the City study the benefits of using mechanisms such as a Tax Allocation District or Tax Increment Financing for funding the parking structure. TimHaahs is also studying the benefits of a parking district so that all of the parking-related fees in a defined area may be applied to the parking structure’s debt service. |
