Lehigh Valley Hospital East Parking Structure - Allentown, Pennsylvania Lehigh Valley Hospital selected TimHaahs to provide prime design services for the 896 space, five tier facility. The parking facility will provide parking for hospital staff, patients, and visitors to the new medical office building currently under design. TimHaahs led the design team, augmented by consulting architect Venturi Scott Brown & Associates, Inc., to provide the hospital with this essential structure. ![]() Careful attention was given to the architectural treatments to create an attractive façade that will blend with the existing buildings on the campus. The proposed parking structure will feature articulated precast architectural spandrels with ornamental railings that wrap the entire structure. The main stair/elevator tower has been designed to maximize visibility and security. The structure will support the new medical office building in obtaining LEED certification. In an effort to qualify for additional points toward LEED certification, TimHaahs worked closely with the hospital’s LEED consultant during the initial design phases to incorporate the necessary features into the parking structure (i.e., bicycle lockers, dedicated parking for carpool/vanpool vehicles, electric charging stations and dedicated parking for electric vehicles). ![]() |
