Mount Cuba Center, Inc. Consulting Services - Greenville, Delaware TimHaahs performed parking consulting services for Mt. Cuba Center, Inc., a non-profit organization set in the hills of Northern Delaware. Located on 630 acres in Greenville, the Center is dedicated to the conservation and appreciation of the flora of the Appalachian Piedmont, as well as the environment through garden display, education, and research. The Center plans to begin providing educational programs, and therefore will need additional parking spaces for the increased number of visitors. TimHaahs worked with the Center to determine the number of additional vehicles expected once the full education program is active.  The number of buses visiting the Center is expected to grow, and accommodations for parking and traffic are a concern. Visitation to the Center is based on appointment only, and the number of expected visitors is approximately 5000 per year. TimHaahs projected the number of parking spaces needed once the Center’s programs are fully operational. TimHaahs also reviewed potential sites for additional parking, and provided a conceptual sketch as to how the lot or garage could be fit into the environment and landscape of the Center. |
