New Jersey Transit Route 17 Station - Ramsey, New Jersey For New Jersey Transit, TimHaahs designed a parking structure to serve the Ramsey Route 17 Station. The parking garage is adjacent to Route 17, and provides straightforward access from the highway for commuters. TimHaahs also designed train station vestibules and alcoves, as well as a pedestrian bridge that spans the train tracks and connects the station directly to the parking garage. ![]() The five story precast parking structure provides 1291 spaces for transit commuters. The overall dimension of the footprint is 582’ x 170’ with two 60’-0” bays and a 52' bay. The structure utilizes two-way 90-degree parking at the 60' bays, as well as 60-degree one-way angled parking at the 52' bay. TimHaahs designed the garage and station features to complement the historic architecture of the nearby buildings. The concrete walls, on both the station and the stair towers of the garage, incorporate the stone aspect of these buildings. To enhance the stone features, the design used curved roofs atop the garage stair towers, the pedestrian bridge, and the train station. In addition, metal screening was also included on the garage to present a link between the concrete stone walls.
