Norristown Transportation Center Parking Structure - Norristown, Pennsylvania The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) retained TimHaahs to augment their existing bus and rail transit and associated facilities at the Norristown Transportation Center with a new Intermodal Facility, including a 522 space multi-deck parking garage and intercity bus terminal. The project will provide new intermodal connections between SEPTA’s suburban rail lines and bus routes, while adding greatly to the supply of convenient parking for the Transportation Center. ![]() The new Intermodal Facility, in combination with the existing Transportation Center, will create a significant urban node, the potential focus of future public and private development. The existing bus plaza will be more completely enclosed and defined by the new facility whose west elevation needs to recognize and respond to this condition by announcing its function and civic purpose. TimHaahs provided prime design services with Bower Lewis Thrower Architects, who provided architectural design. |
