Rahway Town Center Master Plan - Rahway, New Jersey The City of Rahway is in the process of implementing a major downtown revitalization initiative. TimHaahs provided master planning services for the Rahway Town Center master plan, which would create a new “public square” atmosphere. The plan includes a shopping district, residential units, and a variety of entertainment venues. The plan maintains the most important public features of the city, including the City Hall and public recreational center adjacent to the site.  TimHaahs developed a number of concepts from which the City could choose to determine the best fit for their community. The City selected a “main street” plan which features an attractive civic plaza, an outdoor theatre and seating area, parking facilities, and a police station. The plan also includes a variety of residential options, including condominiums and apartments. The Rahway Town Center plan has already been a catalyst for other redevelopment in the city. It will create an attractive and vibrant destination for visitors, as well as residents of the city and surrounding areas.  |
