Reston Town Center Parking Garage Analysis - Reston, Virginia

TimHaahs performed a parking analysis and feasibility study for the entire Reston Town Center mixed-use development for Westera Management, LLC. The Town Center is a combination of office, retail, hotel, and entertainment uses, as well as over 5000 parking spaces.



The study focused on the following:

• Parking supply/demand study utilizing the shared parking analysis method and Fairfax County zoning requirements.


• Parking utilization study to confirm the accuracy of ratios and shared parking percentages.


• Alternate scenarios for parking requirements for higher density user groups of office space.


• Parking functional layouts for two new garages.

The Reston Town Center mixed-use development has served as a model for other town center development nationwide. The effective integration of parking into the development as a whole is an important factor in the town center’s success.
