Rockland Garage Restoration - Wilmington, Delaware TimHaahs provided Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children with restoration services for the Rockland Garage, a two level parking structure that serves two office buildings, located adjacent to the Hospital’s campus in Wilmington, Delaware. ![]() The garage consists of two separate levels that contain an estimated 300 parking spaces on an approximate footprint of 180’ by 300’. The ground level of the garage contains a concrete slab-on-grade floor. The structural system is comprised of composite metal deck flooring supported by steel joists, beams, and columns. The façade of precast concrete cladding is located at the perimeter of the top level. Waterproofing of the supported level was achieved through the routing and sealing of floor cracks, expansion joint replacement, and the application of a penetrating sealer. ![]() TimHaahs’ design increased pedestrian safety through the installation of guardrails along bumper walls with a significant grade differential, additional light fixtures for intensified lighting, and emergency phones at each stair tower. |
