Savannah River Landing Mixed-Use Development - Savannah, Georgia In 2006, Ambling Land & Resort retained TimHaahs to prepare a shared parking study and provide parking consulting services for a mega mixed-use project planned for downtown Savannah. The project, known as Savannah River Landing, will be the first mixed-use project of its kind in the Savannah area. ![]() Located east of downtown along the Savannah River, the development will consist of hotels, high-end retail, high-rise condominiums and commercial office space. In addition, a large single-family residential component will be built adjacent to the commercial area. Parking is extremely critical infrastructure serving the development. Ambling retained TimHaahs to determine how parking can be shared by the various users so the “right” amount of parking is provided for the entire development. Utilizing demand ratios developed by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and our extensive experience with shared parking, TimHaahs was able to reduce the amount of parking required for the project thus helping the developer meet his budget expectations for parking construction. TimHaahs will continue with the project through the design of a new free-standing parking structure. |
