SEPTA Wawa Station Parking Garage - Media, Pennsylvania For the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), TimHaahs joined a team led by URS to design a new 604-space parking structure. The garage will serve a future SEPTA train station in Media, PA. The precast parking structure will be located adjacent to the new train station. The site is located near a creek and sits within the 100-year flood plain. Therefore, SEPTA will construct the garage on cast-in-place piers, which will elevate the structure and prevent damage from any potential flooding. The architecture of the garage will include a stone form liner finish, as well as architectural reveal patterns in the spandrels. The structure will also complement the architectural design of the future train station. TimHaahs performed structural engineering, functional design, and architectural design and documentation. Construction for the new parking structure is anticipated to begin in late 2010. The garage and station are expected to be in full operation by early 2012.
