The Pennsylvania State University Vertical/Horizontal Expansions - State College, Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania State University, located in a rural environment, has been increasing its parking capacity to meet the needs of its growing community of staff, students, and visitors, as well as the expansion of the campus infrastructure. TimHaahs was retained to design the expansions to the following parking facilities on the University’s State College campus:

 Eisenhower Garage
 Nittany Inn Deck
 Hetzel Union Building Parking Deck



For the one level Vertical Expansion of the HUB Parking Deck, which added approximately 86 spaces to the structure, TimHaahs provided construction documentation, and structural and graphic design services. TimHaahs completed construction documentation within a two-month period and the expansion was completed in Summer 2000. The vertical expansion of the Eisenhower Garage adding 194 spaces was completed in 2003.
