Upper Darby 69th Street Garage Conceptual Design Study - Upper Darby, Pennsylvania For the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), TimHaahs joined a team led by HNTB to perform a conceptual design study in Upper Darby, PA. The study analyzed a site at SEPTA’s 69th Street station to determine the feasibility of a new 400-500 space parking facility. For this project, TimHaahs assessed an existing plan provided by SEPTA. TimHaahs also developed numerous functional alternatives to determine the best use for the site. One of TimHaahs’ recommendations included locating the garage in a more convenient location next to the station. SEPTA selected this option, which will provide a number of additional benefits including: • Pedestrian connectivity • Customer service/level of service • Potential for additional future development • Minimal impact to existing operations In addition, the selected option also provides a more practical system for buses and taxis maneuvering throughout the site. TimHaahs also developed a rendering for the project which illustrates how the new parking structure will complement the existing SEPTA station. _web.jpg)  |
