This makes it even easier for customers to use SEPTA’s public transit as part of their daily commute. The garage was celebrated with an opening ceremony on June 4, 2008. The new facility by its size and strategic location, in combination with the existing Transportation Center, has created a significant urban node, the potential focus of future public and private development. Set above a rising landscape bank, the building design establishes the character and civic importance of the facility, while providing essential infrastructure for the community and SEPTA ridership. TimHaahs has played an integral role in recent redevelopment and revitalization efforts in Norristown and looks forward to further contributions to the community. On April 29, 2008 the Miami Parking Authority (MPA) celebrated the ground breaking for the new mixed-use Courthouse Garage. MPA Executive Director, Art Noriega, addressed attendees stating, “The Parking Authority is excited for the future of this new mixed-use facility and the opportunities it will bring to the downtown area.” The Miami Parking Authority is constructing a state-of-the-art multi-million dollar facility adjacent to the new Federal Courthouse in downtown Miami. TimHaahs is currently providing full architectural and prime parking design services for the 850 space facility. This garage will house two retail spaces on the ground floor and more than 20,000 square feet of office space, including the Miami Parking Authority's administrative offices. The new facility will serve as the perfect complement to the courthouse to its north. TimHaahs is proud to have played a role in contributing to this milestone project for the Miami Parking Authority and the City of Miami. Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. Sam had just recently joined our firm last October, as Vice President in charge of our restoration division. Sam was well-known throughout the parking industry for his extensive work with restoration. Although he was only with us for a short time, it was evident from the beginning that Sam had a great deal of knowledge, talent, and passion for his work. Over the past few years, Sam dealt with a number of struggles in his life, including undergoing a heart transplant operation in 2005. However, these trials had provided him with a greater compassion and dedication to serving others. Sam’s experiences helped him to gain a greater, more meaningful purpose for his life, and this was especially evident during the last few weeks of his life. Please join us in remembering Sam’s family during this time.
