TimHaahs Joins In Celebrating the Opening of the SEPTA Norristown Transportation Center
Located at Dekalb and Lafayette Streets, SEPTA’s Norristown Transportation Center, a state-of-the-art parking garage, provides additional access for passengers and increases parking capacity, more than tripling the capacity of the existing lot it is located on. This makes it even easier for customers to use SEPTA’s public transit as part of their daily commute. The garage was celebrated with an opening ceremony on June 4, 2008. The new facility by its size and strategic location, in combination with the existing Transportation Center, has created a significant urban node, the potential focus of future public and private development. Set above a rising landscape bank, the building design establishes the character and civic importance of the facility, while providing essential infrastructure for the community and SEPTA ridership.
