After being nominated by the White House earlier this year, the United States Senate recently confirmed Timothy Haahs, PE, AIA, to the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS).
A non-profit and non-governmental agency, the Institute brings together representatives of government, industry, labor and consumer interests, and regulatory agencies to identify and resolve issues that hinder the construction of safe, affordable structures for housing, commerce, and industry throughout the United States.
Tim’s involvement with the NIBS Board of Directors is an appropriate complement to TimHaahs’ mission to help those in need, as well as advance the ideas of parking and smart growth within the building industry. The Institute is constantly working to develop innovative ideas to improve the built environment, while creating and advancing programs which will allow the building industry to positively impact people’s quality of life. These initiatives will serve as a foundation for the firm’s continuing mission to provide our clients with the latest and most valuable research, technologies, topics, and trends to enhance your project and development potential.
